Yes, “browser history” should be cleared before contacting CBI help desk. Step by Step instructions for each supported browsers are provided below:

  • Internet Explorer
    1. 1. Open Internet Explorer.
    2. 2. In the upper right corner, click the small gear icon (to the right of the star icon) and choose Internet Options
    3. 3. On the General tab, under Browsing history, click Delete.
    4. 4. Un-check the Preserve Favorites website data box.
    5. 5. Check the Temporary Internet files, Cookies, and History boxes.
    6. 6. The Form data, Passwords, and inPrivate Filtering data boxes may be left un-checked. You can check them to delete this data if you so choose.
    7. 7. Click Delete.
    8. 8. When finished, click OK to return to your Internet Explorer window.
    9. 9. Close the Internet Explorer window and reopen.
  • Firefox
    1. 1. From the History menu, select Clear Recent History. If the menu bar is hidden, press Alt to make it visible.
    2. 2. From the Time range to clear: drop-down menu, select the desired range; to clear your entire cache, select Everything.
    3. 3. Next to "Details", click the down arrow to choose which elements of the history to clear; to clear your entire cache, select all items.
    4. 4. Click Clear Now.
  • Chrome
    1. 1. Open Chrome.
    2. 2.In the top right, click the Menu Chrome Menu.
    3. 3. Click More tools > Clear browsing data.
    4. 4. In the dialog that appears, select the checkboxes for the types of information that you want to remove.
    5. 5. Use the menu at the top to select the amount of data you want to delete. Select beginning of time to delete everything.
    6. 6. Click Clear browsing data.
  • Safari
    1. 1. Click Safari in the upper left hand side of your screen. In the menu that appears, click Preferences.
    2. 2. In the window that appears, click the Privacy tab. Click the button Remove All Website Data....
    3. 3. Click Remove Now in the pop up window that appears.
  • Opera
    1. 1. Click on the Opera button in the top left corner > Settings > Delete Private Data...
    2. 2. Click on Detailed Options to show the rest of the options. Make sure only the following are checked:
      Delete temporary cookies
      Delete all cookies
      Delete entire cache
    3. 3. Click on the Delete button.
System Access
  • Agency must fill out and submit to CBI the following documents to establish a master account to submit fingerprint cards for processing.

    - New Account Application

    - Statement of Assurance

    - W-9 Form (Invoiced - Account Only)

  • CBI will set up an associated SDDS account profile as well as any “Administrative” user profile(s).
  • Account administrator(s) will be set up with the authority to setup “user’s” for their specific account.
A “Welcome to the SDDS System” email will be sent providing a URL link to access system, User ID, Home Account ORI/Account Number and instructions for “First Time Access”.

Contact the CBI Identification Unit at 303-239-XXXX, to provide the information needed to set up credentials for a “One-time” user profile. Alternatively, a “One-time” user form can be filled out and submitted to the CBI via ….

Password/Challenge Questions:
  • Minimum of 8 characters
  • Must have at least one (1) number
  • Must have at least one (1) lowercase letter and one (1) uppercase letter
  • Must have at least one (1) special character
  • Cannot be a dictionary word or proper name
  • Cannot be the same as the UserID
Password will expire 90 calendar days from day of activation.
Password(s) cannot be identical to the previous 10 passwords.
Yes, 3 challenge questions will be required to be answered when setting up your password for the first time.

Click on the “Forget My Password” link on the lower right hand corner of the SDDS Login Page

  • Enter your User ID and click “Find”
  • Answer your 3 challenge questions and click “Submit”
  • If challenge questions are answered correctly, you will be required to enter a new password and given the option to re-answer your challenge questions.

If you don’t remember the correct answers for your challenge questions:

  • Account administrator’s and One-Time users will need to contact CBI at 303-239-4208 and ask to speak to a SDDS coordinator to have password reset.
  • Account User’s will need to contact their Account administrator to have their password reset.
Session Requirements/Information:
5 consecutive unsuccessful or invalid login’s are allowed.
The application will automatically “lock” and will not be accessible to the user for a 10 minute period unless released by an administrator.
After 2 attempts, the application will automatically “lock” and will not be accessible to the user for a 10 minute period. User will be prompted to contact their administrator to have their password reset.
  • Session lock is enabled after 30 minutes of inactivity
  • User must re-establish session through appropriate identification and authentication procedures such as being required to re-type User ID and password.
  • If a period of inactivity is expected, sign out or log off of the application is recommended.
  • Application access is based on the role(s) of the individual user which is known as “Role-based access control”.
  • Role-based access is essentially a collection of permissions.
  • All users will be assigned roles based on tasks that they are authorized to perform and access.
Yes, users can be assigned multiple roles.
