Yes, “browser history” should be cleared before contacting CBI help desk. Step by Step instructions for each supported browsers are provided below:

  • Internet Explorer
    1. 1. Open Internet Explorer.
    2. 2. In the upper right corner, click the small gear icon (to the right of the star icon) and choose Internet Options
    3. 3. On the General tab, under Browsing history, click Delete.
    4. 4. Un-check the Preserve Favorites website data box.
    5. 5. Check the Temporary Internet files, Cookies, and History boxes.
    6. 6. The Form data, Passwords, and inPrivate Filtering data boxes may be left un-checked. You can check them to delete this data if you so choose.
    7. 7. Click Delete.
    8. 8. When finished, click OK to return to your Internet Explorer window.
    9. 9. Close the Internet Explorer window and reopen.
  • Firefox
    1. 1. From the History menu, select Clear Recent History. If the menu bar is hidden, press Alt to make it visible.
    2. 2. From the Time range to clear: drop-down menu, select the desired range; to clear your entire cache, select Everything.
    3. 3. Next to "Details", click the down arrow to choose which elements of the history to clear; to clear your entire cache, select all items.
    4. 4. Click Clear Now.
  • Chrome
    1. 1. Open Chrome.
    2. 2.In the top right, click the Menu Chrome Menu.
    3. 3. Click More tools > Clear browsing data.
    4. 4. In the dialog that appears, select the checkboxes for the types of information that you want to remove.
    5. 5. Use the menu at the top to select the amount of data you want to delete. Select beginning of time to delete everything.
    6. 6. Click Clear browsing data.
  • Safari
    1. 1. Click Safari in the upper left hand side of your screen. In the menu that appears, click Preferences.
    2. 2. In the window that appears, click the Privacy tab. Click the button Remove All Website Data....
    3. 3. Click Remove Now in the pop up window that appears.
  • Opera
    1. 1. Click on the Opera button in the top left corner > Settings > Delete Private Data...
    2. 2. Click on Detailed Options to show the rest of the options. Make sure only the following are checked:
      Delete temporary cookies
      Delete all cookies
      Delete entire cache
    3. 3. Click on the Delete button.
